Originally from the Kingdom of Eswatini, is an award-winning jazz pianist and composer celebrated for his expressive and adventurous musical storytelling. Beginning his journey at just six years old playing hymns in church, Bonelela has developed a distinctive style that blends harmonic exploration with rich cultural rhythms.

He holds a Bachelor of Music (Cum Laude) and a Master’s in Jazz Performance from Rhodes University. Throughout his career, Bonelela has performed alongside icons such as Sibongile Khumalo, Vusi Mahlasela, and The Soil, seamlessly bridging jazz, Afro-pop, and other genres.

Dedicated to nurturing the next generation, he also mentors aspiring musicians at the University of Fort Hare and Rhodes University, passing on his passion, skill, and love for authentic musical expression.
