About Me.

Growing up in a musical family, AJ Bryce discovered a love for the piano early and completed all eight music grades through the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College.

At school he performed in concerts, accompanied hymn singing at assemblies, and received Colours for his cultural contribution. Music remained a constant while he studied engineering at the University of Cape Town, often practising at the South African College of Music or playing in his residence recreation room for friends who nicknamed him the “brainy Mozart.” He balanced music and other hobbies like ballroom dancing and martial arts with academics and finished his degree strongly.

Alongside his professional career as a Senior Engineer in Network Optimisation at Eskom, AJ continues to perform at weddings, community events and even played for a number of years with the local jazz band Möbius. In 2024 he served as a guest judge on Eastern Cape Has Talent and was invited to perform at the finale. He plays almost every day, drawing on a wide repertoire that blends classical, contemporary and jazz influences.
